In "Rio," players control Blu, a domesticated Spix's macaw who travels to Rio de Janeiro to mate with the last female of his species, Jewel. However, things take a turn when Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by smugglers, and they must work together to escape and find their way back to their home. The gameplay involves platforming, puzzle-solving, and rhythm-based levels, where players tap buttons in rhythm with the music to progress.
