The first film, directed by Jon Turteltaub, introduces us to Ben Gates, a treasure hunter and historian who is on a quest to clear his family's name and find the lost treasure of the Founding Fathers. Alongside his friend, Riley Poole (Justin Bartha), and his love interest, Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger), Ben embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the truth behind a mysterious treasure map.
