The fifth season of Lucifer takes place after the events of Season 4. Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) is back in Hell, but his stay is short-lived as he's soon summoned back to Los Angeles by Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). The new season explores the aftermath of the events of the previous season, with Lucifer and his friends facing new challenges and enemies.
