"Arrival" is a 2016 science fiction film based on the novella "Story of Your Life" by Ted Chiang. The movie follows Dr. Louise Banks (Amy Adams), a linguist who is recruited by the US military to communicate with aliens who have landed on Earth. As Louise and her team work to understand the aliens' language, they begin to experience strange and unexplained phenomena that challenge their understanding of time and memory.
